Conference Learning Objectives

- Participants will be able to think about and discuss the radical nature of the shift in psychoanalytic thought inherent in the Bionian Aesthetic Paradigm.
- Participants will be able to consider ways of integrating the concept of ‘waking dream thought’ into their practice.
- Participants will have increased appreciation for particular challenges inherent in working with patients with extreme deficits in symbolization and have increased understanding of the use of a state of hallucinosis as a therapeutic tool for facilitation of the development of thought.
- Participants will be able to identify and increase awareness of internal impediments to achieving a state of reverie in clinical work.
